Chad Vanne – Owner and President

After graduating with a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1995, Chad began building homes as an Americorps volunteer for a non-profit housing agency. Since that first year of volunteer service he has built both affordable and multi-million dollar homes. From his diversity of experiences, Chad has come to value the importance of working one-on-one with clients to deliver a superior and distinctive result while keeping an eye on the schedule and budget.

Chad’s background includes:

13 years construction experience from working as a carpenter and construction superintendent to owning and managing Stillwater Construction Inc.

Currently pursuing accredited Master Builder Certification from the North Carolina Builder Institute.

Administered System Vision program, offered by Advanced Energy in Raleigh, on 8 owner-built homes.

Completed green building trainings such as Healthy Built Homes training and High Performance Heating, Cooling and Ventilation Systems trainings. Chad has also extensively researched and studied a large variety of green building topics on his own time.
